Terms of Service
Terms for evaluating and using Faultline public services.
Last updated May 14, 2026. These public terms cover website use, sample artifacts, trial evaluation, and general service access. A signed order form or enterprise agreement controls where one exists.
Use
Evaluation and service access.
Permitted use
- Evaluate Faultline public materials, documentation, sample evidence, and OSS scanner output
- Use trial access for legitimate security, platform, compliance, or engineering governance evaluation
- Share sample evidence internally for procurement, security review, or technical evaluation
Restrictions
- Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer hosted services, or bypass access controls
- Do not submit source code, secrets, credentials, or regulated production data unless a written agreement explicitly covers that data
- Do not represent sample artifacts as live customer outcomes or certified audit records
Boundaries
No security guarantee or legal advice.
Faultline identifies structural governance risk and preserves reviewable evidence. It does not guarantee vulnerability remediation, incident prevention, compliance certification, or legal sufficiency. Customers remain responsible for validating controls, reviewing findings, and deciding how accepted risk is handled.
OSS license
The open-source scanner has its own license.
The Faultline scanner is Apache 2.0. Hosted Enterprise functionality, paid plans, support, retention, and audit export services are separate from the OSS scanner license.
